Parent Teacher Association - PTA

Parents, teachers and head teacher are part of a team who work side by side to promote a wider liaison between families, the school and the community.

The PTA's role is to ease this dialogue, better the inter-personal relations, turn into reality all the educational projects of teachers, improve the learning of our children and bring social and environmental institutions into the school.

This work allows us to accomplish projects from funds collected on events such as International Day or even to help charity institutions such as Associação Lúmen to who we donated 100% of what was made on the Cook Book.

Besides collecting funds from events programmed in the school calendar, the PTA is starting partnerships with companies, other institutions and professionals in different walks of life.

Representative Committee, constituted by:
President: Teresa Santiago - responsible for the management of the group and general ideas that will allow the Association to accomplish their task.
Vice-president: Nicholas Thody
Secretary: Ilde Callocchia

Members: responsible for the filing and publishing of the information and decisions taken in and out of the Association.
Collaborators: one who is an active member of the group but does not have a specific function, will come to the meetings, be part of decision-making and will be available to help in general.

Our meetings happen once a month and take about an hour and the positions are taken for a year. PTA work is voluntary, not remunerated and exempt of any benefit or advantage.
