EAC Society Tournament - U10 Results:
St. Nicks 7 vs. 0 Sant Anna
St. Nicks 6 vs. 6 EAC
There is no such thing as an easy win for a free-scoring U10 St. Nicks side that was meaningless in terms of who scored but did ram home at times the quality of play we are capable of student (including a emphatic over head kick goal from Yr 5 João Assuncão). There were two super team performances and the collective ability of our students even with key players unavailable. The lessons were that certain Year 3 students can cope with playing older two levels, always ensure you keep possession and have the vision to switch play and how damaging it can be to switch off and lose focus when leading.
EAC Futsal Tournament - U12 Results:
St. Nicks 5 vs. 2 EAC
St. Nicks 3 vs. 2 Notre Dame
In the two games, despite being without our usual goalkeeper, the U12 team they finished their tournament undefeated (Take note U18s)!! Goals and clever link up play from M Hageman and N Nascimento allowed St. Nicks to play debutants and to play with a freedom and flow that was complimented by the opposing coach and only comes through having confidence, belief, patience and ability on the ball.

Graffiti
As part of year 3’s Unit of Inquiry “Amazing Cities”, Mastroiani, a maintenance worker and “Street Art” artist, shared his knowledge about Graffiti Art with Years 3X and 3Y. The pupils had a chance to paint with him and they could also see a demonstration of how to use spray paint.
“ I liked it because he can draw very well and I think he is me in the future. When he was painting, he said that I could paint with him. Now, I am drawing my name in Graffiti alphabet.”
Arthur Almeida - 3X
“I learned that you need to test the spray before painting. I think that it was really cool because he painted for us and he is really good at painting.”
Bruno Franco - 3Y
“I liked it because we learned how to start painting and how nice it is to do it and he let us paint a little bit too.”
Stella Salvadego - 3X
“The lesson was very nice because we could paint with him. I liked his drawing because it was his self-portrait.”
Catarina Flaksberg - 3Y

Era uma vez
Era uma vez um grupo de crianças do primeiro ano... Durante a unidade - Unit of Inquiry “Just imagine”, as crianças do Y1 começam a elaborar suas próprias histórias. Elas criam a consciência da importância da sequência, do começo, meio e fim, das características das personagens, da pesquisa, da ilustração, do cenário, etc. E para estimular a criatividade recebemos duas visitas e fizemos um passeio.

Movember is the time of the year where men’s health is promoted and moustaches are grown to raise awareness for prostate cancer. We can proudly say that we contributed to raising awareness in school! The month kicked off with a lot of the male staff, from Juniors to Secondary and even the guards who kindly left the idea of shaving behind! We then had the sale of the calendars for Movember, which featured photographs of all the people who took part in growing their moustaches. There was also the sale of moustache stickers as not all of us can grow one! For the grand finale, the sales for the shaving event took place and the lucky winners got to shave the teachers who took part! We raised R$646,00 in total from all of these events and this money was donated to GRAACC which is an institution for children with cancer. They were pleased with the donation and will invest it in the chemotherapy department.
Thank you for supporting the event, taking part and helping us raise awareness for an important cause!
Until next Movember!
