Internationalism
The International Committee is a team that helps promote the spirit of internationalism by celebrating diversity through global awareness and world education.
Our Philosophy Statement
To expose St. Nicholas staff and students to cultures and traditions around the world to raise awareness of their integral part
in our increasingly global community.
With PYP in the Infant and Junior Schools and IB in the Senior School, our school curriculum continues to take on a natural global dimension. Various themes allow and ensure that various cultures, religions and traditions are represented and introduced as part of planning and instruction. Our students are exposed not only to classroom materials, but also to actual objects, speakers and experts that are true representations of the subject countries studied. Moreover, the school newsletter and our weekly assemblies remain a positive channel for communicating world news, events and occasions.
As an international school with students, staff members and parents originating from over thirty countries, St Nicholas School is fortunate to have a community where international work occurs spontaneously. We have been actively participating in world celebrations that are culturally enriching and are enjoyed throughout the school.
