The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
The Primary Years Programme provides a framework for the Nursery to Year 6 curriculum, which meets children´s academic, social, physical, emotional and cultural needs, in the classroom and also in the world outside. It is an international model which offers the flexibility to integrate objectives from the UK National Curriculum as well as Brazilian national requirements (Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais) so that it is relevant to both Brazilian and international students regardless of experience or background.

The curriculum framework consists of five essential elements : concepts, knowledge, skills, attitude, action. The knowledgeable component is developed through inquiries into six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, support and balanced by six subject areas whose interrelatedness is emphasised. This allows for an engaging, challenging, significant and relevant curriculum and is illustrated by the hexagon below.

Within each organising theme, specific units of inquiry structure students´ exploration of the world and the development of their knowledge, skills and attitude. Pupils benefit from both structured and self-selected investigation with the goal of teaching students to become self-motivated, life-long learners. The expectation of socially responsible action resulting from learning experiences is also a key element of the programme.

The IB Diploma Programme (DP)
In Years 11 and 12 the students in the senior school follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

The Diploma Programme equips students with the skills and attitudes necessary for success in higher education and employment. It is a demanding two-year pre-university course leading to examinations for highly motivated students aged 16 to 19. It is a comprehensive two-year international curriculum with international standards, applied equally to all schools and culminates with rigorous assessment.

This is illustrated by a hexagon with the three parts of the core at its centre.
